- THE DOCUMENTARY

The documentary will be shooted in Berlin from 06th to 09th of November 2009

The video-documentary will last twenty minutes, twenty as the years that are passed since 9th November 1989. The project will have a linear chronologically style and will develop as a countdown of the three previous days before the event, from the 06th to the 09th of November 2009, date of the great party in Potsdamer square. During the three-days we will interview old and new berliners, we will visit the places of remembrance and we will search the secret of the thirth most visited city in Europe: the social links made of professionals, artists, managers, students fundamental for a vitality city as Berlin. We took contacts with:

+ an Italian urbanist and architect;
+ a German artista;
+ a German street-artist;
+ a German video producer;
+ a club owner of East Berlin;
+ a German filmaker with Romanian origin;
+ a Berliner music band.

The people that we are going to interview will make us to discover the city searching for clubs, museums, monuments, special places, streets and squares.

Berlin, 20 years later wants to be a photograph of the city twenty years later its most big change. It will not be an historic document but it will simply catch the mood and feel of the modern Berlin without forget the legacy of the accelerated development of the laters years.

To catch in 20 minutes the soul and the essence of Berlin twenty years from the fall of the wall to release free on the web the project. Berlin 20 years later will be distribuited on the video-sharing websites and on the torrent peer to peer networks, under Creative Commons license.
